Blue Devil Productions is proud to present the film "Footloose" at the University of Wisconsin – Stout on Friday, Febuary 3rd, 2011 at 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. in Applied Arts, room 210.
In this remake of the 1984 film, Ren MacCormack (Kenny Wormald) moves from Boston to the small southern town of Bomont where he experiences a heavy dose of culture shock. A few years prior, the community was rocked by a tragic accident that killed five teenagers after a night out and Bomont's local councilmen and the beloved Reverend Shaw Moore (Dennis Quaid) responded by implementing ordinances that prohibit loud music and dancing. Not one to bow to the status quo, Ren challenges the ban, revitalizing the town and falling in love with the minister's troubled daughter Ariel (Julianne Hough) in the process.
This event is sponsored by Blue Devil Productions of the University of Wisconsin – Stout and is FREE to the public. This is part of the Blue Devil Productions film series. "Footloose" is rated PG-13 for some teen drug and alcohol use, sexual content, violence and language. For more information please call (715)-232-2432 or go to http://bdp.uwstout.edu.
