Bonfires

Thursday, April 30th

8pm | Terrace / MSC

Blue Devil Productions is proud to present the bands Remo Drive, Unturned and Bonfires on Thursday, April 30th at 8:00 PM in the Terrace located on the second floor of the University of Wisconsin-Stout Memorial Student Center.

Remo Drive is a Minnesota based Emo/ Alternative Punk band comprised of Erik Paulson (Vocals, Guitar), Stephen Paulson (Bass), and Austin Voigt (Drums). Formed in late 2013, they have released two self recorded demo’s. Since then, they have partnered with Rolling Green Records and are due to release their first studio recordings throughout early 2015.

The young men from Unturned came exploding out of their basement in 2014. With their debut release as Unturned, Growing Up, Sam Kuchera and Parker Toyne (who have been playing together for five years) solidified themselves as up and coming leaders in the Twin Cities punk scene. With a powerful sound, influenced by the likes of Blink-182 and The Wonder Years, Unturned is making pop-punk sound fresh and new. They have a split EP with Remo Drive to be released on mix tapes on Valentine’s Day.

Bonfires is a five-piece pop punk band from Chicago, IL that has shared the stage with Knuckle Puck, Light Years and Real friends (to name a few). Their latest double EP release entitled We All Talk About Dying Like We’ve Done it Before and Nothing to Hold/Something to Keep received a 9/10 album rating from several critics.

People are raving about Zech Pluister's brilliant vocals and the intense sound from the rest of the band. Their latest EP is one of the most powerful vocal performances ever heard from an up-and-coming band, and the fact this is a debut makes it even more incredible. Zech moves seamlessly from a clean tone that strongly resembles a Take This To Your Grave era Fall Out Boy, to a rougher tone that is similar to Three Days Grace. The two sounds work together perfectly, invoking a slightly nostalgic feel. There's really no way to describe it other than saying you need to hear this yourself.

This event is sponsored by Blue Devil Productions of the University of Wisconsin-Stout and is FREE to all. This event is a part of Blue Devil Productions TNO series. Please call (715) 232-2432 or go to bdp.uwstout.edu for more information.
