Because of you we were able to achieve our attendance goal this semester, which was super cool considering we used new venues. Now we are very busy planning events for the fall and look forward to another semester of entertainment at Stout. Have a fabulous summer!

Going out with a bang

Tuesday, May 3rd | 4:42pm

Although we were unable to host a large show this semester, we will end the year with a very exclusive, highly anticipated concert. On Tuesday, May 10th, we welcome Motion City Soundtrack's front man Justin Pierre (again!) and his side band Farewell Continental to UW-Stout. This is the band's debut CD release show and the first show of their upcoming spring tour. Celebrate the last day of classes by joining us for this rare intimate performance! Oh and of course it is FREE and open to the public!

Cinco De Mayo

Tuesday, May 3rd | 3:47pm

This upcoming Thursday show falls on Cinco De Mayo. We will be celebrating with UW-Stout's Latinos Unidos and UW-Stout's Black Student Union. Starting at 7pm people can enjoy FREE FOOD selected by the Latinos Unidos. This will surely be an event to remember so don't miss out on this year's Cinco De Mayo!

Stoutnic: Woodstock

Tuesday, April 26th | 9:48 pm

As the semester winds down there are still events to come that will wind up the fun! The annual Stoutnic event is this Thursday, April 28th. In honor of the Woodstock theme it will feature Live Band Karaoke and Stout's own Groove Committee. There will also be FREE FOOD and inflatables for your entertainment. According to the weather channel there is a definite possibility of rain, but this won't keep us from partying since the rainsite for this event is the MPR of the Johnsonfield House. Athough we were unable to host a large performance this semester we still have awesome events lined up.

We have a FREE outdoor showing, weather permitting, of the movie No Strings Attached this Friday. The events don't stop there - join us the following Thursday for our last Thursday night show featuring All The Right Moves. Lastly, to end the semester with a bang come out and see Farewell Continental, Justin Pierre's side band, perform the first show of their summer tour! We look forward to seeing all you Stoutonians in these last few weeks and remember to study hard!

The following day we will be showing True Grit and next week we will mix it up with sounds from Electric Children. Although there is roughly one month of school left, Blue Devil Productions is busy planning more comedians, musicians and movies for your enjoyment. Be sure to keep your eyes and ears open in the near future as we will be posting the large semester show soon! Have a fun and safe remainder of the year!

Donde esta la musica?

Thursday, February 10th | 4:59pm

Now you know how to say "where is the music" in spanish! So with that in mind it's time to officially announce that the permanent home for our Thursday night shows is...drum roll please...the Sunken Lounge in the Commons! Because of its ideal location on campus and awesome sunken-ness, we have chosen this place to host our musical guests. Also, since we are clarifying locations, our meetings will offically be held in the Technical Communications Building room 106. The time is the same Mondays at 6 pm just the spot is different. We are looking forward to seeing more faces in new places this semester!

Welcome Back Stout Students!

Tuesday, January 25th | 6:54pm

Blue Devil Productions is busy piecing together a stellar line up of movies, comedians, and musicians for this up coming spring semester. Without the MSC everyone is re-adjusting to the campus. Luckily, this will not put a damper on future awesome events. Our weekly Monday night meetings will now be held in the Tech Comm Building room 106. Our Thursday night shows will most likely find a new home in the Price Commons Sunken Lounge and our first comedian will perform in Micheels Hall room 184. To start things off with a bang we are hosting comedian Rob Little and showing the action movie The Next Three Days next week. Come check out our new locations and entertaining performances in the following weeks!

Though she started in Nashville, Mary Mack is a mid-western sweetheart who went from being a music teacher to a comedian and folk humorist who travels the country in her 400-dollar Dodge Neon, “Street Heat.” In 2005 Mary won the Funniest Female Contest in California, in the year 2007 she appeared Vancouver Comedy Fest and HBO’s Andy Kaufman Awards, and in 2009 Mary was a part of Montreal’s Just For Laughs Festival.
